Getting to Toruń
BY CAR
- from Warsaw: take Motorway A2 (to Stryków), and then Motorway A1 (to Gdańsk). Total route length: 260 kilometres
- from Gdańsk: take Motorway A1. Total route length: 180 kilometres.
- from Poznań: take Expressway S5 (to Bydgoszcz), and then take exit in Białe Błoty to Expressway S10. Total oute length: 190 km.
- from Łódź: take Motorway A1 (to Gdańsk). Total route length: 180 kilometres.
- from Szczecin: take Expressway S10 (to Warsaw). Total route length: 305 km.
- from Olsztyn: take National Road 15 (to Toruń). Total route length: 175 kilometres.
- from Wrocław: take Expressway S5 (to Bydgoszcz), and then take exit in Białe Błoty Express Road S10. Total route length: 360 kilometres.
- from Bydgoszcz: take National Road 80 (to Warsaw). Total route length: 45 kilometres.
BY TRAIN
You can get to Toruń by train from all the big Polish cities. There are two train stations: Toruń Główny (Toruń Main Station; located on the left bank of the Vistula River) and Toruń Miasto. All the information concerning connections can be found on the website of Polish State Railways (PKP).
Public transportation in Toruń
Toruń has one of the best public transportation network in Poland – you can reach the main campus by either bus or tram. - from Toruń Główny (the main train station) to NCU Aula – bus no. 131 (the bust stop is located on ul. Kujawska, 450 meters from the train station)
- from Toruń Gówny (the main train station) to Hotel Bulwar – buses no. 11, 12, 14, 27, 131 (stop ‘Plac Rapackiego’, located 350 meters from the hotel)
- from Toruń Gówny (the main train station) to Hotel Copernicus – buses no. 11, 12, 14, 27, 131 (stop ‘Plac Rapackiego’, located 350 meters from the hotel)
- from Toruń Gówny (the main train station) to Hotel Mercure – buses no. 11, 12, 14, 27, 131 (stop ‘Plac Rapackiego’, located 500 meters from the hotel)
- from Collegium Humanisticum to Plac Rapackiego (the city centre) – buses no. 7 and 131 and trams no. 1 and 4 (the stop is located 300 meters from the Old Town)
- from Collegium Humanisticum to Aleja Solidarności (the city centre) – buses no. 15 and 28 and trams no. 1 and 4 (the stop is located 450 meters from the Old Town)
