The 'History of astronomy' section
The 'History of astronomy' section entitled Copernicus and Astronomy: Continuity, Reform, and Dissemination is organised by the Institute of the History of Science of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Our intention is that the conference should offer an overview of current research on various aspects of pre-Copernican astronomy, Copernicus himself, and the early reception of new astronomy. The conference will consist of three modules:
- Ptolemaic and Alfonsine heritage,
- Copernican astronomy,
- Early reception.

The 'Cultural studies' section
The 'Cultural studies' section entitled Nicolaus Copernicus and culture of remembrance is prepared by Nicolaus Copernicus University and is divided into three panels:
- memory studies;
- literature;
- art.

The 'History of medicine' section
The 'History of medicine' section entitled "Travel(s) and Learning: Medical Travels, Transfer of Knowledge, and Cultural Exchange in East-Central Europe over Centuries – XIX Biannual Conference of the German-Polish Society for the History of Medicine", organised by the German-Polish Society for the History of Medicine. Its participants will examine the issue of medical travel in East-Central Europe from the time of the great astronomer (who studied medicine in Padua) to the present day.

The 'Medicine' section
The 'Medicine' section entitled From Copernicus to the present day will present the most eminent physicians associated with the Kuyavian-Pomeranian region from the 15th to the 20th century. The conference is organised by the staff of the NCU Collegium Medicum.

The 'Education' section
The 'Education' section entitled Popularising the figure and achievements of Nicolaus Copernicus in education is dedicated to teachers, educators and popularisers of science. During this event, we want everyone interested to learn about interesting issues related to modern education in practice. We invite you to workshops that will which will address the following topics:
- the use of robots during classes,
- virtual reality in education,
- creating board games,
- preparing an escape room in a box,
- herstories in education,
- online tools in education.

The 'Youth' section
The 'Youth' section is organised by the City of Toruń and the Board of Education in Bydgoszcz. It is the culmination of the National Contest of Knowledge about Nicolaus Copernicus. It is a year-round event aimed at primary and secondary school students.

41. Meeting of the Polish Astronomical Society
The 41st Congress of the Polish Astronomical Society will also be held during the Copernican World Congress from 11-15 September 2023. In 2023, the Polish Astronomical Society will celebrate its 100th anniversary of its foundation.
